Adding or Editing Coalition Members

For an alliance to be classified as a coalition it must be composed of members from at least five diverse sectors. Sectors are defined as "areas of the economy in which businesses share the same or a related product or service." 

To Add a Coalition Member
  1. Click the "Add Member" button.
  2. Enter the member's name, then select the member's sector of influence and the type of member. (Required fields)
  3. Add the member's primary site if applicable. If the site is not in the system, you can add it by clicking the "Add Site" that will appear when there are no options that match the name you enter. (Optional field)
  4. Give a description of the member's role and any resources they provide to the coalition.
  5. Click "Save button".
To Edit a Coalition Member
  1. From the "Coalition Members" page, find the member you would like to edit and click the "Edit"button under the "Actions" column. 
  2. Revise as needed.
  3. Click "Save".
  • You can remove a member by clicking the"X" button under the "Actions" column. Once you remove a member it cannot be undone. 
  • The five sectors of influence are described in depth in the SNAP-Ed Toolkit but some examples include (but are not limited to):
    • Food Industry - Grocery stores
    • Government -  State legislature
    • Public Health and Health Care - Local health department
    • Education - Local schools
    • Community Design - City planner
    • Public Safety - Police department
    • Media - Local news station
    • Agriculture - Local farmers
    • Commercial Marketing - Advertising agency
