Remove a Unit Director

Some organizations appoint unit directors to oversee and coordinate the overall work taking place within each unit. If your organization uses unit directors, these staff members can be designated in PEARS in order to receive additional permissions for their management roll. Director Managers and Organization Administrators can use the Directors page to addedit, or remove unit directors. To remove an existing unit director, follow the steps below:
  1.  From the PEARS homepage, hover the cursor over the gear icon and click Directors:

  2. A list of current unit directors displays. Select a unit director to remove:

  3. The Update Director page appears. Select an end date for the unit director.
    After the specified end date, the unit director will become inactive, and the user will no longer have the unit director permissions.

  4. Once all changes have been made, click Save.
  5. An alert confirms that the unit director’s information has been updated.
    If the end date selected occurs before the current date, the user will no longer appear in the list of current directors.
